OK well, perhaps not abducted by aliens, but the newly formed Oceanside DimeStories is on the lam on the hunt for a new venue. Host Thornton Sully assures us that he has some good leads, and will keep us posted.
Duke City DimeStories (Albuquerque) will host their open mic on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at The Source, 1111 Carlisle Ave. SE. Friendly group of fantastic DimeStoriers telling 3-minute stories. $3 suggested donation.
Join Temecula DimeStories on Friday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Wine Country Art Gallery 34567 Rancho California Road, Temecula, CA 92592
Hosted by Lisa Sanchez. Bring YOUR 3-minute story, and Bring a Friend (because listening is fun too!) $5 suggested donation.
The San Diego DimeStories chapter will be on vacation for the month of July 2013. Host David Raines says:
Hello, Storytellers. First, I want to thank you all for your continued support and attendance, and for sharing your stories even as DimeStories has shifted from one location to the next. Your willingness to put your personal work out there is not only brave, it’s the reason DimeStories exists.
The next DimeStories was scheduled for July 5th. However, given that it is the day after Independence Day and many people (myself included) will be unavailable for the weekend to attend, the July DimeStories event has been canceled.
Never fear, however. DimeStories will be back with a vengeance (or wrath if your name happens to be Khan) in August at the new San Diego Writers, Ink location in Liberty Station!
Keep on writin’!
Laguna Beach DimeStories happens on the Second Sundays– next open mic takes place on July 14. Sign up at 5 p.m. at the Laguna Culinary Arts Institute, 845 Laguna Canyon Road (near the Sawdust Festival site) in Laguna Beach, CA (parking right in front!)
