September is my favorite time of year in San Diego: the tourists are gone, the beach is still warm, and it’s close enough to my late August birthday to continue the celebration… This September I was also able to fly in from Albuquerque to host DimeStories. We had a nice group, and a collection of awesome stories–some funny, some sultry, some serious. Alas, I was having so much fun I forgot to solicit audience input… so here are my favorites from the evening:
Carrie Danielson, “The Scent and Safety of a Screen” (and yes it over 3 minutes, I may have forgotten to push “start” on the timer, but I liked this story a lot)
Alex Bosworth, “Cypress” (the sound of Alex’s voice whispering “Cypress” has lingered)
Judy Reeves “Dear Bernadette” ( PG-13 )
Much thanks to all who attended, it was a fabulous night! Lots of great volunteers who helped set up and clean up, and the regulars who bring their stories every month. Such fun!
