Duke City DimeStories, Albuquerque’s only open mic for prose, will celebrate its third year with a Showcase of DimeStories selected from the best of the past year’s monthly open mic events. Authors who will be reading their 3-minute stories include: Lauren Baldwin, Dee Cohen, Eirik Gumeny, Von Jones, Jennifer Krohn, Maria Leyba, Blake Magnusson, Merimee Moffitt, Annam Manthiram, Andy Paquet, Susan Paquet, Maxine Peseke, Bob Sabatini, Eleanor Stewart, Cindy Sylvester, Sandra Vallie, and Efrain Villa.
The Showcase will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 at Bookworks, 4022 Rio Grande Blvd NW Albuquerque, NM 87107.

About the Hosts:
Jennifer Simpson holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Mexico. She teaches creative writing in the community and works as a freelance writer and editor. Merimee Moffitt is a graduate of UNM; she writes poetry and memoir and teaches now and then at CNM. She has published poems in Pemmican, Lunarosity, and Persimmon Tree literary magazines.
